Jared W. Capps was born and raised in the small East Texas town of Gladewater to hard-working, blue-collar small business owners. Over the course of his youth, as he raised cattle on the family farm and lettered in football, baseball, and basketball, he learned that there was no substitute for the value of hard work and a passion for what you do, no matter how big or small the job. This drive spurred him to letter in football, baseball, basketball, and cross-country at Union Grove High School. He then attended Texas A&M University as a proud member of the Corps of Cadets and earned his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law. Jared has successfully litigated and tried many cases across the state of Texas in venues both small and large, as well as obtained multi-million-dollar settlements in tragic wrongful death cases. Further, he has handled complex multi-district litigation across the Southeast United States following the British Petroleum Gulf Oil Spill, obtaining results for hundreds of claimants and their families. He is licensed to practice in all state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of Texas.
